This pendant was meticulously drilled and cut by hand from an actual 2 francs coin from Switzerland. It features Helvetia standing with a lance and shield.
Helvetia is the national personification of Switzerland. She is often pictured as she is on this coin, with a lance and shield emblazoned with the Swiss flag. Her name is derived from the Helvetii, the tribe of people inhabiting the Swiss Plateau prior to the arrival of the Roman Empire.
This coin is 27.5 mm and is silver in color. It comes on a strong and hypoallergenic 20" stainless steel chain. Other chain or cord options are possible upon request.
