This pendant was meticulously drilled and cut by hand from an actual Greek coin. It features the Greek Owl.
The Greek owl is associated with Athena, the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom, war and handicraft. The Athenian Owl is a common symbol in Greece, appearing on coins and currency going back thousands of years. Because of the owl's association with Athena, it has been a symbol of knowledge and wisdom since ancient times.
