This pendant was meticulously drilled and cut by hand from an actual one kuna coin from Croatia. It features a nightingale.
The common nightingale, also called the rufous nightingale or simply nightingale, is a bird known for it's powerful and beautiful song. The name is derived from the words "night" and the Old English "galan" which means "to sing." This comes from the fact that they sing at night as well as during the day. It has long been a symbol associated with poets and poetry, and is the Croatian national bird.
This coin is 22.5 mm and is silver in color. It comes on a strong and hypoallergenic 20" stainless steel chain. Other chain or cord options are possible upon request.
